Residential Services Gizmo House (click here for more information) The first-of-its-kind in the nation and perhaps the world, our high-tech computerized "smart home" allows six residents to live virtually assistance-free in their own home. A single-family home set in a suburban neighborhood, Gizmo House allows its residents to control everything in the house through a touch-screen mounted on each of their wheelchairs. Residents operate everything from rotating pantry shelves and countertop height to speakerphones and doors. Gizmo has been deemed by the media as the ultimate independent living and learning environment. Project HOPE We are looking forward to breaking ground on a second Gizmo-style home crafted for some of our teenage residents. |

Fort Lauderdale Facility The three residences on the Center's main campus provide for a therapeutic yet nurturing environment dedicated to assisting children and adults with disabilities. The decor of the living areas and bedrooms rival that of any home with coordinated furnishings, window treatments and specially selected original art and posters adorning the walls. Each resident is served by a qualified team of nurses, aides, therapists and other staff to offer the highest quality care through an exceptional staff ratio of 1:3. Pembroke Pines Cluster The Cluster is a unique setting in that there are three family-like homes serving adults with severe multiple disabilities on one "campus." Along with specialized medical treatment, speech, physical, & occupational therapy, the staff also teach daily living skills and provide an abundance of encouragement and devotion to each resident at the cluster. Neighborhood Group Homes The Ann Storck Center oversees and operates five other group homes in Plantation and neighboring cities. In the small group homes, six children or adults with similar disabilities live in a clean, bright home with a goal of increasing each individual's independence. Each group home matches its residents with staff highly-skilled in their area of need. Residents are encouraged to participate in neighborhood and community activities to expand their horizons.
