Ann Storck's Professionals Group
On Thursday, April 24th, the Ann Storck Center’s Professionals Group hosted their “Spring Into Action” event from 5:30 – 7:30 at Murphy’s Law, located at Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The event raised almost $1,000 to directly benefit the Ann Storck Center. Guests enjoyed an assortment of party platters donated by Costco as well as a silent auction which featured exciting packages including tickets to see The Cure at the Bank Atlantic Center. A door prize and a surprise live performance by singer Ricky Washington, who has sung with Kenny Logins and has toured with Joe Walsh of The Eagles, were also highlights of this successful evening. The Professionals Group is made up of successful professionals who are interested in giving back to the community. The group’s mission is to raise awareness and funds specifically for the Ann Storck Center and the over 300 children and adults with developmental disabilities. The Professionals Group meets each month – the 2nd Tuesday of the month – at the Center to brainstorm ideas for future networking events. Each networking event as “Networking with a Cause” and raises funds through the admission as well as the sale of raffle tickets for donated prizes, such as gift certificates and tickets to sports events.
The networking events organized by the Center’s Professionals Group have proven to be successful in raising both funds and awareness for the Center and its services and programs. These events are a wonderful way to meet other professionals and highlight different establishments in the community.
