11th Annual Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction Post-Event Information The 11th Annual Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction was held on Friday, October 8, 2004. The event, held at the Radisson Bahia Mar Beach Resort, 801 Sea Breeze Boulevard, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316, proved to be the most successful in Ann Storck Center history with over 400 people in attendance and raising approximately $301,000 net. Participating in the event this year were many of South Florida’s finest restaurants and chefs, who served delectable dishes featured on the respective menus. Guests were entertained by the music of Peter Betan and Mark Berner. Desserts were donated by Café Liegeois, Little Dippers Chocolate Fountain, Whole Foods and New River Groves. The evening’s live auction featured an incredible array of luxury items, ranging from designer handbags, jewelry, spa packages and dining certificates, autographed sports memorabilia, a week in Acapulco for two with roundtrip airfare, a trip to New York with airfare and hotel, and cruises on Radisson Seven Seas, Costa Cruise Lines and Silver Seas. Nearly 60 additional items were showcased in the silent auction preceding the live auction and a raffle provided one lucky guest with the prize of 14K diamond and pearl earrings from Romancing the Stone Diamonds, Inc. Guest speaking at the event was a graduate of the Ann Storck Center’s Preschool, who is now an honor role student at his neighborhood elementary school. All proceeds were dedicated to the Ann Storck Center’s accredited preschool, residential, and developmental training programs.
